MBK news

Margarita Bicep King (MBK, derived from an anagram for Patrick, Maggie, and Brian) debuted this past weekend at the Deer Grove orienteering meet. MBK placed 7th overall in the Orange course, despite several setbacks. Maggie, a 25 year old editor and the only female of MBK, dropped out the day of the race due to a throat and sinus infection. Patrick, the oldest member of MBK, was appearing in his first race and was tasked with reading the map. "I think Pat did a good job especially it being his first time," said Brian, the registered team captain. "We were a little shaky in the beginning, but things started to come together after the first few controls." Quick decision making and cunning running led to an impressive first outing for MBK, who will only be looking to improve in the standings.
